My first creation

This is a picture of  the first cake I made and decorated all on my own. This cake was decorated in my decorating classes taken at Joann's Fabric. The lesson of the day was how to make a flower out of frosting. All the people who were taking the class had to make a cake the night before and frost it. We had to come to the class with the cake already frosted and we had to make sure the frosting was white. When we got to the class she at first looked at all of our cakes. She said mine looked perfect (: At first she made us put any color  of frosting  we wanted into something called a decorating tube. We got out our book that had all the instructions on how to make a flower. She went through all the steps and it wasn't that hard at all. I learned very quickly and the flowers I made came out to be very nice. As you can see I only put a couple of flowers on my cake just to start it off. I made a lot of flowers that day and a lot of them did not turn out so good. After a while I got  a hang of it and I love making them. They make any cake look beautiful. I actually liked making the flowers too. On my next cake i'm going to try to make it more neater and put way more flowers on it. I'm also going to use different colors.
